Newcomers to Cumberland County

The Cumberland RDA considers the retention and successful settlement of newcomers in our county a priority. Amanda McInnis, Newcomer Navigator, will provide support to newcomers as they make their transition to life in rural Nova Scotia.  Amanda can provide a starting point for anyone newly settling into the Cumberland Region.

The Rural Newcomer Navigator role is part of a province-wide initiative administered through the Regional Development Association network in Nova Scotia. The objective of the program is to provide a range of services to newcomers and see them settle, connect and feel welcomed in Cumberland. Click on Settlement Support for more information.

The Cumberland RDA will also assist eligible immigrants, wishing to relocate to Cumberland by supporting their application through the Community Identified Stream of the Nova Scotia Provincial Nominee Program. Click on Immigration for more information.
