Cumberland Energy Office
The Cumberland Energy Office is a partnership between Cumberland RDA, the Municipality of the County of Cumberland, the Town of Springhill, and the Town of Parrsboro.
Cumberland County is fortunate to have access to many renewable and alternative energy resources, including; Tidal Power off the cost of Parrsboro; Mine Water Geothermal in Springhill; Coal Bed Methane, Wind, Solar, and Biomass throughout the County of Cumberland.
The goal of the Cumberland Energy Office is to identify and strategically enhance alternative and renewable energy growth and diversification opportunities within the Cumberland Region thus strengthening the energy sector overall and maximizing development accordingly. This will be accomplished with the aide of the Regional Energy Strategy for Cumberland County.
